Expert Highlights Benefits of Reform Pilates and Shares Key Advice for Beginners

    Pilates is everywhere these days, you can not turn your head without seeing a Pilates class poster.

    Claire Mills Owner of Core LDN is a reform Pilates instructor which combines the traditional principles and movements of mat Pilates with a Reformer machine. 

    Speaking to Gabby Allen on What The Health?!, Claire spoke about her top tips for people that are looking to take classes: "Find a good studio. So it's really trendy. Now. There's studios popping up everywhere. I think you want to get the most out of the session. So the bigger the classes, the less likely the instructor is going to be sort of watching exactly what you're doing if you're new. So maybe finding somewhere that has a good sized class, and then keeping in mind that you don't have to sweat and have this full blown workout to get a workout."

    She continued to say : "There's so many different schools of training now for parties, so I think that's key. And then definitely, if you have a history of injury, I would consider going to physio led classes or a one to one so that you can kind of make sure you're optimizing your workout for any injury that you have. Because, let's face it, sometimes it could cause injury if you're not doing it correctly or you have any issues previously"
