Chatting to host Bobby Norris and guest co-host Emily Vierke on the showbiz gossip programme Access All Areas, the reality star revealed why she decided to walk out on the TV show: “I was on my period, and I needed to change my tampon, and I couldn't. So, I was just like, I'm done. There was no toilet about. We were in the middle of nowhere. and there was nothing around. The girls were just changing them wherever they could.”
She continued: "It's my own fault, because they told us to take this pill to delay our periods. But again, me being delusional, I thought, "Oh, they're being dramatic". I wish I had taken it, because it definitely made it harder. I was just so worried about it coming through on the uniform, and then having to wear it for the rest of the course. I just could not stop thinking about the hotel room and just getting in a nice, hot bath."
Later in the interview, Marnie revealed she had surgery weeks prior to filming: “I had breast surgery six weeks before, and the flight was 36 hours long. I didn't even know this, but you're not supposed to put silicone [plasters] on fresh scars. I'd put it on and realised maybe I shouldn't have done that. When I got there, one of the wounds just wasn't looking right, but it was from that silicone [plaster], and then obviously going in and out of the water, it just wasn't good. I wasn't physically ready. ”
Marnie also predicted who she thought would win the series: "Ovie [Soko] definitely, because he's just athletic, he's strong. I thought Chris [Robshaw] as well. I thought he would do really well, because he does rugby and Ellie [Downey] as well, because she was a gymnast. I just think she did so well at first and I thought she would go so far."
She also spoke about the reality show she would like to take part in next: "I think Dancing On Ice. I think because it's not dancing. Dancing scares me, I'm not good at dancing, but because it's on ice, it's a bit different."
