Recently on FUBAR Radio, Danny Andrews, who gained viral fame for his ‘Fish and Rice Cakes’ video, opens up about the harsh reality of dating after his rise to fame.
Chatting to host and comedian Andrew White on the programme Pulse Of The Nation, Danny reveals how he felt when his diet went viral: “I hated it. I hated social media. I got trolled. So, I didn't have social media up until about four or five years ago. I started my Instagram and stuff, and it was still quite negative. And then the more I've put myself out there and embraced it, the more positive the comments are. And it used to be 90% bad comments, and now it's 90% good comments”
He shared the harsh reality of dating after his viral moment: “A lot of girls that have found out I’m the fish and rice cake guy, used to ghost me. Honest to God. Because it's not cool and they’re judging me from when I was 16 years old. So it used to be kind of tough.”
Also in this episode, Danny spoke about getting a fish and rice cake inspired tattoo to boost social media views: “I thought, ‘Oh, if I get it tattooed like it'll get loads of views.’ So, it's worth having it on me for life but it didn't get much views."
